This 5-hour course is for those who work with, teach, educate and care for children of preschool age in and out of educational institutions. It is designed to support educators in connecting with children when their work context may include stress and trauma.

In this course learners will:

Gain a better understanding of the importance of early childhood for future learning and success
Understand the stages of brain development that take place during early childhood.
Understand the impact early childhood trauma has on children’s physical, cognitive, and emotional development.
Develop teaching strategies that address a child’s complete physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being.
